I My Logic 7. The bass is plentifull enough and it's pretty damn loud overall. The bass is authoritative without being overpowering. Seriously, the mega - bass subwoofer so loud and low that it shakes the car apart is becoming rather passé anyways. Not fit for a machine of precision and refinement like a BMW. This system delivers very well, maybe I'm becoming an old man. But i'd be amazed if anyone considers it 'not loud enough' as you can get your ears ringing long before you've maxed out the volume.

Not to mention every one of my friends who has ever invested in an amp and sub system has ended up with it stolen anyways.

Thumbs up

It's the best OEM stereo I've ever had.

Definitely good enough for me.

I'm more than satisfied with it.

It's VASTLY superior to the old shitty E46 HK system.. hell even the stock system kicks that turd's ass. I'm VERY happy with the L7 setup and damn glad to have it.

and like revils said, its one more thing i dont have to touch.

and as far as with the E93 with the top down, i drive with my windows and sunroof open alot, and when turned up, it still sounds very good and quite loud for a factory system.
i remember my mcoupe having the harmon kardon and that was a really cool sounding system ... when i jumped into the m3 wth harmon kardon ... i really hated the HK sound in the M3... just wanted to know if people are happy with their Logic 7 sound systems ... and i wanted to compare if those people in the E93 are happy and those in the E90/E92 are happy

Meuh lets not go that far.. I agree the stock system is better than the E46 HK system but I did like the subs in the E46, the ones on the stock system in the E90 are weak.

I listened to it in an March 07 E92 (new Idrive, buttons etc.) and it was so much better than the E60 version.

It really blew me away, I regret not getting it in my E91.

I couldn't disagree more. I went into my test drives hoping to add as few "frivolous" options as possible to my 328i but after extensively listening to the stock & L7 back to back it was clear it was well worth the money. In fact, I listened to the stock system first and knew within 15 seconds that I couldn't live with it. I thought it was marginally better than the system on my wife's Honda Pilot. The high & mid range frequencies weren't nearly clear enough for my tatses.

Thant's Bang & Olufson (sp?) system that's only available in the A8 & R8. The Bose system in the A3 & A4 isn't as good as the L7.

I would agree with others that this is the best stock audio system that I have heard and I don't see why anyone would need something better than this.

It might sound a bit different on the E93 with the topdown but thats a small price you have to pay for a convertible

Great system, much better than the Stock that is in my loaner right now.

If you fiddle with the EQ settings, you can really get it to work wonders.....

I got a question for you guys about the surround aspect of Logic 7. I'll be listening to music and then suddenly out of nowhere it will change and feel like the surround mode just kicked in and you can hear this sort of bloom coming from all the speakers. Then it will dissipate back to normal and I'll hear the music mostly from the fronts. I've tried playing with EQ and all that but this sudden change persists on different CDs. Anyone else know what I am talking about?

I called the service department and she said she's heard that same thing happen on a 7 series so it must be normal.

Check your Speed Volume settings. I've noticed some weirdness there, making it seem like it's fading in and out as it compensates for noise.
