There's also a difference between a full LED Kit (like the OSS) or LED bulbs (like say BMS or other brands)
Some of the LED 'bulbs' are piss poor. A full LED kit may require you to remove the headlight lens, which adds a lot of time and pucker factor to the install. As for why would you want the AEs to be visible in the day? If they are used as DRL, as many are, then you want people to be able to see them! As for which is better overall, I reckon LEDs are (personal preference), because they have the SAME brightness on all four rings. HID kits will always have the inner rings brighter than outer. The OSS kit is hard to beat in terms of looks, but I can't justify the extra cost and installation troubles, which is why I settled with a Camaross HID kit, although am yet to install it and see the results...
