ECS light weight pulley

Has anyone tried this?

Only .5lbs

Take a look at the dyno graph and how horribly unsmoothe it is

The stock pulley is weighted for a reason - it acts as a vibration damper. Look up lightweight pulleys and you'll probably find some info on it on here and through a general google search.

Basically you're risking engine damage over time with a lightweight pulley.

Underdrive pulleys that are weighted are a different story. They basically maintain adequate mass but are smaller in size which turns the accessories slower reducing parasitic loss but decreasing their efficiency.

Do not get any lightweight pulleys! My NST pulley shook mine and a friend's car's crank bolt loose!!!

This comes up every 1-2 months. Do NOT purchase lightweight pulleys. The crank pulley is actually called vibration dampener and it is there for a very specific reason.

I am aware of all of this (aside from any actial evidence) but was noting how light the ECS pulley is

8 ounces versus 40 ounces (NST) versus 110 ounces (OEM) so the ecs is a 94% weight reduction!!!!!!!
