Besides K&N, BMC, afe and Macht Schnell
are there any others out there for our n54 motors? Also, if you have a panel filter which 1 do you have.. and did you notice any gains over the stock filter? I am leaning toward the Macht Schnell filter but its a bit pricey... I would love to hear some opinions on which way you went and why. TIA and Happy Thanksgiving! I recently read a thread where somebody switched from the Helene drop in filter to the BMS drop in filter and gained a couple of horsepower. The way the groves in the filter element were set up were better or something stupid like that. I really don't think it matters though. One drop in is as good as another.

Running the K&N drop in so far, i dont "feel" much extra power, at least at low RPM. I would like to give the aFe drop in panel a try tho until i get a stock OEM airbox to modify

I have a brand new bms dci... I ONLY dd my car.. so I am thinking for a DD and all I am going to run is a tune, no meth or dps, or anything right now..
so since I only DD, I am thinking a panel filter may be better than the dci... yes/no? |

That is correct Unless you wanna spend over a thousand dollars to get a Gruppe-M carbon fiber airbox, which in that case would work both as a dd or a track car :P

What's wrong with the Dinan intake? It is cheaper than the Gruppe-M one...

after talking with a few people.. I am going to stick with the BMS DCI... since I will be running a tune, it actually will be beneficial is the general consensus, and I spoke with a few highly regarded n54 people.
