Just ordered new 335i!
I posted on here about a month ago asking for advice on a price for a 335i.
I finally bit the bullet and decided to go in and order one today from BMW Melbourne (King's Way), who for the 2nd time I've purchased a BMW were fantastic to deal with. I was lucky that they had the colour combo I wanted already coming into Australia, although it has a few extra options which I really wouldn't have gotten if it was a custom order. Car Specs: E92 LCI 335i DCT Coupe Black Sapphire Metallic Coral Red Interior Aluminium Trim Options: Harmon Kardon Sound System Heated Front Seats Internet Sunroof I've checked the online ship tracker and my car is currently in the UK with an ETA for Melbourne of 21/12/2010 - so I'm hoping for a delivery date of first week of January. ![]() I'll post some photos up once I take delivery! Thanks to everyone who helped me with any questions I had over the past few months, it's appreciated! ![]() Last edited by UnknownPerson; 11-29-2010 at 07:34 AM.. |

Congrats on your choices ...I love the contrasting colour combos.
You were originally considering a 325i or 135i, so did Privatefleet come up with the goods? |

![]() I was dealing with Privatefleet and they came back with a fantastic price and then the following day decided that the price they gave me was an error, I'm not talking a small error, they were out by about $20k. In the end it meant the deal that they got me was pretty much exactly RRP. After me questioning how they can make an error of such a large margin, I never heard back from them again. Quite Disappointing really as they were good to deal with in the beginning. |

FWIW I drove a Lexus ISF the other day and would take a BMW 335i over it in a heartbeat.

Looks, inside and out - personal thing I suppose. But also the chassis - ride was just too firm so it couldn't cope with a few familiar mid-corner bumps (and they say RFT M-sports are bad!) and yet the handling at enthusiastic road speeds was uninvolving with nothing like the throttle steerability of the BMW. Both are DCT now, and you can easily tune a 335i to be just as quick.
