Does it matter how much I paid for the car? Cause i think he should be giving me the residual on the US MSRP of the car and not the ED Price, he said he would give me a $26,100 residual for a $45,000 car, which I would be paying instead of the car being worth $47,775. and that residual would actually be 27,740. so wtf is up??

Residual is what they(leasing institution) calculate the car will be worth at the end of the lease term.

The residual is fixed. It is based on the US MSRP including delivery, even on an ED lease which I assume from your post is what you are trying to do.

The residual percentages and money factors are here: http://bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198537

OK, you are incorrect. The residual is simply what BMWFS think the market price of the car will be at the end of the lease. It is what you could buy the car for at the end of the lease and is used to calculate the depreciation component of the monthly payment.

If you think you might want to buy the car at the end of the lease, don't lease it.

The higher the residual is, the lower your monthly payment is. The U.S. MSRP is the highest, so you would prefer the residual be calculated off of that figure. MACO is'nt added to MSRP when calculating residual, all of your factory options are.

residual % is based of MSRP not negotiated price.
