Buying a car from the states...
Hi, can anyone show me what I need to do to buy a car from the USA and then import it to Canada legally? I am looking at an Acura NSX. Can anyone please show me the steps and procedures?

numbers wise, if you buy an american made car in USA, and bring it back to Canada, then it's worth it, because it comes in DUTY FREE, anything else (Japanese, European, Korean) made cars will need to add duty, so basically, are you only saving the duty b/c you need to pay the sales taxes no matter what car you import
i assume you can bring in some American made European brand name cars, ex. BMW X5, X3, Z4 (i think) Mercedes ML, GL and no duties...

The details are listed there. You'll also have to pay the duty as well that is not listed. Vehicles from Germany have a 6% duty. |
