Phone function has completely disappeared
Got in my car this evening, Blackberry Pearl didn't pair, so I used the phone to try to manually reconnect to the car, it failed. Went to the phone menu to try to delete and readd the profile, and the phone menu is totally inactive-no options, does not show anything, does not respond, does not take me into the options to do anything. It just shows two blank lines -- above the word phone. Any ideas?

I would try taking out your battery and sim card and putting them back. Try repairing your phone after that and see what happens. Something similar to this happened to me time to time and thats how I fixed it.

I had a Pearl and it was horrible at staying connected to anything bluetooth. Had to re-pair it all the time. Just take out the SIM and start the connection process over.

That's the point. I can't re-pair the phone because the menu options from the car's phone menu are not accessible. It is as if the car no longer has phone capability. The phone works fine. I cannot even get into the bluetooth menu from the car controls.

Two weeks ago, the BT functions in my month-old 335i's iDrive unit failed. Assist and Voice Commands went with it. The same portion of the iDrive brains controls that. It was replaced and works like new. I bet that it's an iDrive failure issue. Bummer. |
