So... we've had like 3 people say afe and injen because it "looks pretty" and a few people say just do DCI's because they did dyno runs and it makes more power....

If you want your intake to match your toenail polish, then go ahead and waste more money. If you want to make the most power and be smart with your money - do a DCI or honestly even a drop in filter...

I think that the AFE intake is in fact quite badly designed. No wonder it loses power. The stock air snorkel stream is in fact blocked by the first filter which is not even fed on the whole surface. The shielding creates a very small "box" once the hood is closed which blocks the needed air.The filters sit in the wrong direction and do not receive a lot of air. I am not sure if the shielding is metal or plastic, but if it's made from metal it's useless.

The Injen is the best of the DCIs, it could have been designed a lot better though. The snorkel uses only one vent, it could use both and have a redesigned filter-side end to blow air to both filters. Also some shielding could benefit the filter closer to the engine. Heat insulated pipes would also be welcome.

The BMS DCI is most likely better than AFE but their placement on top of the hot engine together with their looks hurt the N54 dignity

Ill make you a DCI for $80 shipped. It will have 2.5 inlets, open faced cones, and velocity stack couplers (unfinished)

What color do you want?

This style is by far the fastest flowing system.

I agree on the DCI, no point in having the turbos fight each other on the same intake tube. We will have our intake released very shortly. I will be posting up pics in the next couple days of our prototype unit.

Thanks!

You really aren't going to notice a difference between any of them. So you might as well get the cheapest one.

Not sure why you guys keep ignoring the Dinan one. It's the only that retain's the factory cold air intake ducts, while adding a brand new cold air intake duct. It is the only system on the market that ensures that MORE COLD AIR enters your engine than the factory system.
