OEM Alarm and ECU
I looked around but all I could find was that the dealer "plugs it in." Does anyone know if they do anything with the ECU to install and activate the alarm? I want one but have a PBX in so I wasn't sure how in depth it was, though apparently its not a big deal? Thanks.

All they do is add SA302 to the vehicle order. This activates the DWAS and DWAI modules that control the alarm. There are some options that can be coded in the DWAI (like beep on lock/unlock) but just adding to the VO will activate the alarm and clown-nose. It takes about a minute with a K+DCan cable and NCSExpert. See these threads and maybe there's someone with a cable in your area that will help you out:
