CDV mod is critical. I got one from Zeckenhausen as they were first to market them. For all I know they might still be the source for the secondary vendors. I bought one rather than modding my original one or just taking it out altogether for three reasons: 1) you cannot tell it has been modded by looking at it, 2) I am secure that it works right, no chance of some loose tiny bit of metal, and 3) I have my original that I can put back in if need be. That was worth the $20 for me.

A lot of people think that you need something to go in its place, but you don't.
It's a plug and play thing.

The main reason to put something in its place is so the dealer can see that something is there and if anything happens to the trans then they can't fall back on that.
Aboslutely right. I would have taken mine completely out as well except I wanted to keep the shell there in case the dealer took a look.

Umm, 1) you can't tell mine has been modded either, 2) I am secure that it works right with no chance of some loose tiny bit of metal too, and 3) There is no reason to put the original back in when my original is still there.

Sorry but, still a waste of $20 for you as well
