Exclamation Multiple systems failing (DTC, ABS, Cruise)

I've had this problem once or twice during the summer/fall but ignored it. It's now happening every day since its been colder. When slowing down and turning (45 degree turn or more) traction, stability, ABS, cruise control, turn indicator cancel, are all disabled at the same time. If I stop the car, turn it off then back on, and drive off everything goes back to normal at around 5-10mph.

I have a Procede v4 and it seems to happen in map 1, 2, and valet. I haven't tried to completely remove the Procede yet. Also, I'm running a size bigger tire on the fronts (235/40/18).

My first suspicion is the sensors measuring wheel speed for use with the traction and abs systems complaining about a larger sized tire. However, I'm pretty sure I've read other people on this forum running with this setup and not having a problem. It's a bit dangerous of a problem especially when you lose all those systems mid-turn! Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by a size bigger tire? Are you running 18's or 17's in back?

How old is your car? I have had all kinds of electrical gremlins when the battery was marginal. ABS light, no volume from the radio, moonroof failure (code said voltage error).

My SL600 had this problem.. it was the traction control modulator, and a speed sensor. $2400 later on the SL600 it was fixed. Thank god for warranty!

I had this problem when I lowered my car...once I got the car properly alligned and steering wheel pointed straight again all was fixed. Did you hit anything that might have caused a misallignment?

I immediately think of two times this has happened to me. First time, battery wasn't exactly in the best shape. When the power gets on the low end, your car will drive fine then the DSC, DTC ABS braking systems will malfunction and it will just kinda go down hill from there.

The other time is when the steering wheel isn't lined up properly. if you've changed to an mtec wheel or perhaps something wrong with your alignment etc could cause this. If the car isn't sure which way the tires are turned, it can't conduct proper stability/traction control. Hope that helps.

EDIT: Another quick thing to check is the sensors that go onto your front driver suspension. It measures the amount of travel in your suspension for the headlights and other things potentially its part of the stability control equation. I believe there is another sensor like this on the back rear?

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

By bigger tire I mean I went from a 225/40/18 to a 235/40/18 (slightly wider and taller).

I DID hit a curb recently and had both control arms replaced by BMW (they did an alignment as well). However, I've seen this issue before "the incident" but only twice.

I have an 07 with about 45K miles. Battery sounds plausible too especially since I put a little extra thump in the trunk.

I'm just wondering if I take it to BMW with it faulted like this, if they would send me packing because my tires are not OEM spec?
