What to use to clean inside of tinted windows??

Greetings from Colorado,

I just got the windows tinted on my E92. LLumar Window Film is the product that was used. The instructions say one should only use mild soap and water to clean the tinted surface. Is there a commercial product available that can be safely used for such an application? Mild soap and water sounds like it might be a streaking problem.

for the inside of my windows, i use just water and a microfiber towel that's made for windows.

however, from what i heard, you can use a window cleaner as long as it does not contain ammonia.

Thanks. The microfiber will probably do the trick. I forgot about it's cleaning properties on glass.

Plexus with a microfiber cloth would be my advice for the tint, as well as any other polycarbonate or plastic surfaces.

You could also use Stoner's Invisible Glass, but that's probably better reserved for the non-filmed glass surfaces (inside and outside windshield, outside door glass and rear glass.)

Invisible Glass is supposed to be safe for tint (it is ammonia-free).

I've used Stoner's Invisible Glass on my tinted windows without any problems.

Plexus is great stuff. I used it for my Motorcycle and Helmet. A quality microfiber cloth does wonders on windows, I often found that after a wash a MF cloth was more than enough to keep my windows spotless. Only use product when necessary.

Microfiber and water is all you need. ...this "Invisible Glass" is an interesting product. Never heard of it. Time to look around.

i have Llumar 18% titanium. the only product you should use on your tint is SOLAR MAGIC. use this only on the tint and use another glass cleaner for the outside. your tint will never fade or change color. spray it on to the tint, then using an applicator pad cover the area. then buff off with a microfiber polishing cloth
