I have the standard halogen lights and I was looking at getting new bulbs, but am now wondering if upgrading to a HID system is worth the money or not? If any of you have done the installation on your own, how hard is it? Did you think it was worth the time and money you put into it? Where did you get your conversion kit from? If I'm going to do it I want to do it right, not some 10 dollar piece of junk off e-bay. Thanks!

Place to order: DDM tuning
What Kit to buy: color of you choice (i prefer 6000k or 8000k at most) and 55w not 35w Why 55w: because it gives less glare (halogen headlights) and brighter(generates more heat tho). but you will need it since your HID light will shine everywhere like High beam & low beam on at same time. Installation: easy. but might have to add a capacitor but still a caveman's level of work. value: depends on your taste. been down that road before, and would i spend $50 yes. would i spend over $100 no. because you will always want the xenon headlamps even more because you will always think "i wonder if my HID kit and color would br better if i had projector lamps...?" hope that helps.

You can buy either the OEM projector headlamp housings and run the HIDs there, which is expensive or you can go with the Depo P90 projector housings and buy an H7 HID kit from DDM or any vendor of your choice for much less money. The Depo's aren't OEM replicas (I wish) but I'm happy with mine. (Only complaint are the not so good AE setups, but that can be replaced)

I've dealt with kbcarstuff.com in the past. They have good HID kits at great prices. Used to have Lexus IS250 and I bought a HID Kit for both headlights and foglights and have had no problems in the 2 years that I've owned the car. Luckily my e92 has stock xenons.
