HELP! BT Software not installing on netbook!

i just picked up THIS netbook from best buy yesterday and i'm having trouble installing the BT software, i keep getting this message when i click download:



i purchased this netbook to have it dedicated to my car (JB3 interface software & Bavarian Technic tool) i installed the JB3 2.0 interface software successfully but i don't know why the BT isn't

i use a Asus Eee, model 1005PE (think same specs), BT works fine on it (ok a bit slow)

yeah pretty much same specs but yours runs on windows 7 and mine on XP, but that shouldn't be the problem. DAMMIT! this is annoying!

has to do with your server....... I couldn't update or download from work, same error.

Took it home and it worked fine! Everytime.

I was doing it at home and even uninstalled the bt software on my other laptop then downloaded it, and it installed perfectly. Right after I tried again with the netbook and same notification....

I'm having the same exact issue on one of our shop computers. I have been going back and forth with Owen over at BT. He thinks it might be a certificate issue with his software and is working on a fix. Shoot him an email and send him that screen shot you posted and mention that Alex fron AKMotorwerk is having the same issue as well. He should be able to get it sorted out real soon.

I sent an email to support@Bavariantechnic.com yesterday with the screen shot. Does Owen have a direct email addy so I can send him that and mention your problem also?

Owen replied and said they think it's a problem with the software and is shooting to have it resolved by the end of the day but hopefully sooner. He's going to keep me updated.

Weird - just tried opening BT (haven't used it in a while, my tuned 320d runs like beyond expectations ) and it didn't want to open.
Just downloaded latest 1.8.0.4 (history says it had XP error), still doesn't want to open, even when connected to car. It worked ok last time (months ago) can only think microsoft updates screwed it up

Will drop BT support an e-mail too

Edit: will await Owen's response

my BT software just dissappeared off my lap to as well, had to reload it all.

Wonder if I let the battery die or something with it on??? Not sure.

Cool that Owen got back to you. I have the same Netbook, and also a 1201N netbook from Asus and BT software works on both.

owen emailed me back and said to try downloading the newest software now and it finally downloaded on my netbook. hooked it up to my car and everything seems to be working

all you guys having problems, try downloading the new software on bavariantechnic.com

i'm having a similar problem with the same netbook, but mine downloads fully, and when it tries to open, I get the following error, and I can't seem to solve the problem.. I've uninstalled/deleted all associated files, and even created a new user to try installing there, with no luck. Also emailed Owen and he said they have no ideas about any problems that would case this...feel like i wasted $300 on the netbook, as this was it's sole purpose.

I got that same error after installation the new version owen released, I sent him a screen shot and said I shouldn't have any worries over it. I restarted the netbook, opened the bt software and it worked....

I just removed BT, but noticed there was a BT and BT-1, or BT_1. Got rid of both, re-installed, works fine since

I tried everything under the sun yesterday and spent hours emailing back and forth with Owen. We could not get the software to load or boot correctly, so I ended up just returning the netbook and got a toshiba instead. Little bit bigger, but my BT software works
