Plm Downpipe Install Help!!! Issue :(
hey everyone,
so had my PLM 3" catless downpipes installed today and have a few issues and questions. When cruising at like 3K revs it sounds as though the turbine fan inside my turbo is scraping the inside of the turbo, also when turning left even just changing to a lane left of me i can hear almost like the downpipes rattling against each other? What could this be? install issue? Anyone help me here? Kind of worried, chances are its nothing to do with my turbo cause the shop didnt even mess with that when they installed the downpipes. They said they'd take a look next week but im out of town tomorrow til next week and just want some idea of what it is. By the way these with my valve mod sound so nice |

there are only mm's of space between the two pipes...so if not rotated just right when bolted up...they will touch and vibrate off of each other.

Turning left or right shouldnt make any noises "louder"
I would suggesting checking the heatshield that sits right above the steering rack boot. Sometimes they bend the shit out of those things and they end up rubbing up against the fender or suspension/steering pieces. |

they will not vibrate touching each other..they are both bolted to the block. If its touching the subframe or a heatshield, then it will make a lot of noises when the wheel is turned left or right.

Turbos are going to sound more metallic when spinning through an open intake, expect a change not only in the exhaust note but in the induction sound itself. Heat shields are a bitch to adjust once the pipes are in and everything is buttoned back up. Good luck.
