Wrapping Y0!
Was thinking about this last night when at a meet as got talking to a friend about wrapping my car. Some things I would like to know though is how much I should need for doing my whole car and how hard is this job as I will be attacking it myself with some help from friends.
Also not sure If to go for matte black or keep gloss black and just have it protecting the paint? oh and best place to buy for UK? Cheers! |

definitely go with a matte color. If you are looking to just protect the car you could go for a clear bra on some of the major parts of the car that are usually exposed to damage such as front bumper and hood (damage from rocks)

Rocks!!! Lol do not want to drive on roads in your area joking I know what you mean. Thing about matte though is I love a shiny looking car always been about flashy stuff. Then on the other hand I also love the dark look or black on black and setting off with a matte finish would look the dogs. Hmmm going to be a tricky one.

I ordered 25 yards of matte white vinyl but never ended up wrapping my whole car....only certain sections. It was too much of a pain and keeping it clean is annoying.
I paid about $320 for the roll on eBay. Matte white stains really easily unless you put a matte laminate over it.....which would probably be another $1K on top of the $315 I paid. At that point you might as well get a professional job done with a warranty for about $2,500. I'm sure black or grey will hold up tough. |

^thats one of my main concerns with wrapping as well.. it looks great and all, I just don't want to wipe my car on a bi-daily basis.

This is why i think just wrap in a nice high gloss black takes all the tiny stone chips away from before i was the owner and all the little scratches that i know are there. Also think gloss would be ok to maintain.
