TIA
The tweeter cover on the inside of the door unclips, (do this carefully to not break any of the tabs) you can then see the three torx screws that hold on the mirror (the front one is under the rubber gasket), remove the screws and the mirror will unplug from the harness at the top of the door shell. I'll see if I can snap a few pics as we are reassembling.

Here's what I got. Hope it helps. When removing the inside trim/tweeter cover, be careful not to break the attaching clips. The cover needs to get the top pulled out first then slide the bottom clip up and out. You can see the clips on the trim and the slots in the door shell in the second pic.

I did the whole interior of my 330ci back when I had it not bubbles to rips and the interio has alot more curves than the exterior molding. I did a DIY here is what I wrote up.

I tried a # of different ways to apply. Hair dryer, no hair dryer, tape by itself, etc. Buth ere's the best way that worked for me.

Materials:

3M trim tape.
SHARP scissors
Sharp knife ot razor blade
Damp cloth of paper towels.
Squirt bottle.
Silicone spatula (Key piece Of equipment)
Old credit card

1. 1st of all measure 2x, cut once.
2. Remove trim. Do a search if u don't know how. Very easy to do. I started with the diver side trim. It's a small piece so easy to work with.
3. Cut the tape to fit the piece. I just laid it on the tape and traced around the piece. I left 'bout 1/2" to 1" border around.
4. Clean the trim with windex just to get rid of any dirt and wax or watever.
5. Take the damp cloth and wipe the trim so the trim is damp.
6. Remove the backing from the 3M tape. I removed all of the backing at once. But do wat u feel works better for u. Take the damp cloth and wipe the tape (sticky side) so the tape is damp. This is important because it makes the glue not as sticky and easier to work with.
7. Lay the trim on the tape. Start in one corner and begin to lightly applying the tape, smoothing as you go. If u make a mistake, peel the tape back and dampen the tape again and start over. 1 thing don't over stretch the tape it will show up as little tiny lines.
I used the silicone spatula to smooth the out the bubbles. Once you get it fairly smooth use the credit card to get the little bubbles. Careful not to tear the tape.
8. When folding over make sure to crease the edges with the spatula, but not to hard, it may rip the tape. This makes it look alot cleaner. Trim the over lap with the blade.
9. Reinstall and enjoy.

Remember little by little, and keep it moist (not wet). Once it drys it still sticks like crazy.

I know this is for the interior, but the technique should be the same.

Posted some pics of the quality.

Have a roll of this stuff myself. I started it out and it looks really nice, and goes on really easily. But it seems nearly impossible to wrap it around that tight bend. Anybody have advice on that section?
