335i Coupe

Hi all,

Long-time reader, first time poster in the HK forum!

I've been reading a bit about the 335i Coupe and the time has finally come for me to look at getting a 2nd hand example in HK. Been browsing some of the more common 2nd hand car sites and came up with the following:

http://www.28car.com/sell_dsp.php?h_id=478166&h_vw=y

http://www.28car.com/sell_dsp.php?h_id=484320&h_vw=y

http://www.28car.com/sell_dsp.php?h_id=482940&h_vw=y

As current owners of 335i (some of you might have got 2nd hand examples previously), what do you think of the above?

I've also read a bit about the HPFP issue, what sort of checks would you recommend? Some of the dealers also allow potential customers to "tests/checks" the car (by BMW), have any of you done it before and if so, did you think it was useful?

Many thanks in advance! Hope to come and join some of the cruises on the forum after I got my 335i

dont worries about HPFP, BMW had done a recall on it and any cars with n54 should be covered iirc

Well just make sure you get the car checked by another reputable garage before you buy... BMW even... But they will cost more. Although we all like to mod our cars... I'm sure most people would recommend you get a stock example.

That way you can avoid anyone who has thrashed the car.... And also gives you the opportunity to mod it any way you like.

Unless you know the person who the car belongs to ;P

I think the second one ( the one with BBS wheels) is a water goods! BMW HK will not take care of the water good even there's recall! That's why the asking price is lower amount all 3! The 1st and 3nd one look good to me.:l

Thanks for the responses so far, great tip about the HPFP issue & the point about the 2nd one!

Managed to find another one that looks quite attractive... what do you guys think about this example?

Looks like there are plenty of cars out there available for inspection!

Try to get one with full BMWHK service records. Many used cars' cluster/mileage have been adjusted. If you really afraid HPFP issue, try to avoid 06,07 ones.

Be aware of the HK-China used ones too.

Seem like it's a water good... no +/- on the steering wheel. it's good if you like the color. Blue color always hard to sell, not everyone like it!

Oh yes. The equipment of most E92 335i from BMWHK is standardized. Shift paddles,front/rear parking sensors, electronical leather sport seats, style 189 18'' rims, sunroof, logic 7 and sport suspension are all standard on HK spec E92 335i. Not much people in HK would pay for the Navigation/i-drive, cruise control or OEM 19'' rims.

Good luck!
