Question Difference between HPFP in 07 and 08?

I've been reading this forum for a little while and sometimes it seems to me that the 08 models HPFP fail less frequently than the 07. Is there any truth to this? Or is it just luck of the draw? If there is any truth to this, could you explain why?

No. Not long ago they came out with the final new pump that supposedly doesn't fail. But it still does. 08' has the old pump.

While some pumps fail early and others later, the mere fact that MY 07 has been out longer than 08 gives them a greater chance of a failure. Same pump, expect same results over time.
