And as far as audio quality, I was saying that, since it's not digital, quality was the same. So you're 2 out of 2 for misunderstanding what I said. |

I guess I suck
guys- all I am trying to say is; The 6FL is intended first as an Ipod interface and is best used with both the USB and 1/8" cable that is supplied. Dont worry about quality...it is very very good. Those of you freaking over the fact that it is a 1/8" audio plug need to stop until you try it. It does not sound anything like the headphone out...it actually sounds twice as good. You would not want to pay $400 for this option and then use your Ipod in Disk mode...whats the point? I did some tests and as long as you have your music encoded above 192kbps, I found 256kbps is better...you will not be able to hear the difference between the Ipod and the ORIGINAL CD. I can switch back and forth between the two sources and cant tell which is which (This is w/ Premium Sound package). Another point- The Ipod outputs at the exact same level as all your other sources when used w/ this adapter. You can switch between SAT, CD, DVD, IPOD and never have to adjust your levels.
