Unlucky Phil

2010 was a good one for me. Took the plunge to leave a large comfy job to start up a new healthcare fund and, so far, it has gone very well and no regrets. Certainly enjoyed work much more this year than for a couple of years.

Wife and kids all happy and healthy, got a new TT, dad got the all clear after lung cancer, my little sister has just announced she is preggers...not bad at all!

As this is the 'happy' thread I won't mention rejecting the E92, my works 'issues' or my wife's health 'issues'...

What I will mention is :-
>my Dad beat prostate cancer
>my older sister got married (2nd time round) to an absolutely great guy (BMW owner ) and and absolutely superb 'do' in the summer
>I got to drive a Lambo and a Ferrari (never dreamed of this as a kid)
>my 11yr daughter is turning out to be an absolute star, smart, savvy, polite responsible and well liked (I know, wait till she hits 13.. )
>I met some of you muppets at the Staffs meet... and most of you didn't have two heads.

Cheers Snooky.. I'll look back at 2010 as a 'transitional year' of hard work without seeing much reward but I'm confident this will all pay dividends in 2011. Similar to you I left my job recently but very excited about the new year. Besides, no new house at least means some money saved!

A great year for me so far. Sold the DXBizzle and bought my first home which I'm very proud of as I think it's the Aboslute bowlacks!!!!

Sad times when we lost Max a day before my birthday this month. Miss him
so much.

Looking forward to 2011.

Seeing my daughter go from a baby to a toddler and now almost a litttle girl.

Buying the M3, though pales into insignificance compared with the above

Wife never returned to work - that made her happy

Taking a step back work wise, having much less stress and seeing my family more

Happy Christmas

Admitidly I have had a couple of sherbets, but even so, shouldn't life be something we should enjoy and celebrate rather than

I know life can be shite but I would imagine there is always someone much worse of than you

New home and we're getting settled.

New E93 - first time I've had a girly car EVER... up until this car, I've had to own baby carriers/kid carriers/load carriers as a 'main' car. I have had a fairly girly XK8, but it's not a daily drive - particularly not in snow!!

Picked up with some friends I thought I had lost contact with and discovered we STILL really like each other.

2011 looks really promising...

Wishing everyone else a better year next year, too.
