I Hate Oem Audio, Including L7.

I'm sorry to those of you who love e90 OEM audio, but I just want to say this.
I HATE IT. I heard L7, and I HATE THAT TOO. :mad:
Both systems just don't sound right. Do any of you feel same way?

I love it, too. L7 is good enough for me. But if this was 6-7 years ago I would want to hear more bass.

I like it -- maybe a little more "crispness" would be nice (I'm not a stereo-geek, so I'm not sure what I need).

In the past (on other cars with factory stereos), simply putting better aftermarket speakers did it for me, so the L7 will be good enough for a while but I'm curious if that might help here.

I think it's great. What do you mean by "it doesn't sound right" Is the treble not crisp enough? Is the bass too dull? Explain...

Have you tried messing with the equalizer?

i think its a phenomenal stock system and this comming from someone who has a 5k stereo in an e34 540 dinan 5!!! plus i add the latest best deck every year or whenever it comes out!! i don't understand how people complain about this system..even the alpine rep is extremely impressed with the system from what i hear!!!

You're not the only one, I feel the same way. For a STOCK system, it's not bad. However, I'm a big audio buff, and wanted something better sounding. I decided to go with the Reus system, and am waiting for an install date for my car.

Logic 7 is the last thing in my 335i that I would worry about. It's totally fine.

You don't nearly explore the full potential of L7 sound system if you are using iPod, which is a horrible sounding player overall. I bought a brand new 8gb iPod Nano, plugged it in, listened for like 10 seconds and gave it to my brother in law.
One solution to that - mp3 player that supports SRS WOW. U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E difference in sound quality. I can show the difference to anyone in Nor-Cal, my whole family has iPods.
Oh yeah, my player is iRiver H320, which is big and bulky, but the sound is GOLDEN.

Agreed with you. I got a standard non-us spec audio and they sould really bad. I heard in my friend car they change the oem to the 4" Infinity reference 4012i and they sound much much more better than the OEM.
