Warranty Question
If I buy an 08 335xi that is still under the factory warranty (only 15k miles) from a non BMW dealer, will I have an option to get an extended warranty from BMW before the factory warranty runs out?
How different would that be than buying a CPO from a dealer? |

Yes. It is called BMW Extended Vehicle Protection, and is available in three versions, and differing miles/years of coverage. The gold version 6yr/100,000mi is very similar, if not identical, to the CPO warranty. All have a $50 deductible. Most dealers sell it, but some seem to sell third party warranties instead.
Some have said you must purchase before 45 months, but others have said you can wait until the warranty is about to end at 48 months. If you search the forums you'll find the warranty MSRP, which depends on your car model, the level of coverage, and the years and mileage of coverage. |
