"Radio" Questions
I am about to pick up a 2011 328 xDrive Touring with Premium Sound pkg and I have a couple of questions about some audio choices.
1. I have an old 30gb ipod which has very poor battery life. Is it possible to leave it connected full time in the car (does it connect in the glove compartment or between the seats?) and access all of the music on it through the iDrive controller? Will it stay charged? Do I need to "turn on" the ipod first, before accessing it through the head unit? 2. Could I load up music on a USB key and leave it plugged in and access music that way? TIA (thanx in advance) |

Hi,
If you have the ipod adapter option, I belive you can leave it plugged in all the time. At least, that's what I do. The ipod comes on when I turn the radio on so no separate step seems to be required. Hope that helps, Regards |

Funny. This seems to work with my newer ipod Touch but it doesn't work with my old 30gb ipod colour. (First gen colour). When I plug that ipod in, it does not seem to be recognized
