We recommend you drop the loot and buy an set of OEM projector headlights. There are members who can set you up with nice conversion kit.

We think people who put HIDs in halogen housings and blind drivers are assclowns.

The OP said fogs, which I don't think require a separate housing? If not though I agree with the replies above. I like the HID 2500k fogs though that I've seen.

Reading fail. OP said FOGS. Plus, 330i comes standard with adaptive xenons already.

+1. only the 325 are xenons not standard, but an "option". but if you want hid fogs, just get MTEC hid fog kits, no issues

Thanks e92-lighting. I'll check those out. For everybody else replying to this post - could you guys read the post correctly before replying? I was talking about FOG LIGHTS and not headlights! I already have adaptive xenon lights, but I was asking about HID conversion for FOG LIGHTS! So instead of having yellowish color I wanted to match my xenons.

I haven't heard about any errors with the MTEC fogs either.

Try these:

http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/Ap...it-102-85.html

for $40 the price can't be beat and I hear it does no generate error warnings... search the forums..

I tried Apexcone and light worked for like a second before the error delete module went up in smoke and melted the plastic housing.. I wanted mtec from e92lighting but don't want to be the first to try on MY06 E90.

Hmm.. I think I have MTECs in my Halos... or something similar... not much difference in terms of lumens from stock, whiter yes.... not too much brighter... LUX, other leds look more promising... I am going to install HID H8 8000ks... As far as Apexcone I have no experience, but I would suggest using a relay harness for all HID installs... have Philips German ballasts, no probs.... then again they ran me $450

Looking for HID help

Bought a 2006 325xi and would like to upgrade to HID headlights. I have read some error code horror stories and choose not to go that route. Is this a job you would trust to a reputable local aftermarket shop or would you just go without?

i got mine from ddmtuning, but purchased the slim HID kit and install 4700 capacitors to prevent the error code, worked perfectly...

there's a thread here somewhere which goes into detail about the whole installtion
