Reduce turbo whine?

Hey guys is there any real way to reduce turbo whine? I put my AR downpipes on and now all I can hear with the windows down under acceleration is "whooooosh" instead of the nice exhaust note.

Put back on the stock downpipes I know what you mean though.. I'm testing out a possible resonator.

Do you mean turbo SPOOL or turbo WHINE? Big difference....the whooosh is normal turbo spooling. If you have a WHINE, like whirring noise, or sounds like a big ass cummins/ford diesel, or cement truck, thats the siren noise, more of a sign of the turbo's starting to wear and fail.

I'm pretty sure it's just spool up as I had it on my previous 335i with just dci. It's just the downpipes that cause me to hear so much more. Going try and take a video. Thinking about putting stock dp's back on to see of I can hear anything aswell

Yea, the DP's allow the turbos to spool faster. Its normal for that.
