Would a new trunk-lid provide an LCI appearance?

The pre and post-LCI 335i's have similar rear lights outside of the trunk-lid. If I were to replace the trunk-lid with an LCI version, would this essentially give the rear of my car an LCI "look?"

Would a '09/'10 trunk-lid even fit on a '07, or are the dimensions different?

hmm. although the shape outside the lid is the same, the lighting isnt, it would look weird. just swap them out, itll fit. or get blacklines

Not sure about the fitment issue. Maybe blacklines would be a better option? That comparison picture reminds me how happy I am to be getting into an LCI

pretty sure dimensions are the same. its been done. youd need to change the trunk lid and get the taillights, both inner and outer

I believe to do a LCI tail light swap you need the new trunk, as the outer LCI lights will fit on a pre lci, but the inners require the new trunk.

You should be able to fit the new trunk lid. Not sure about the E90s, but if it's like my E92 tail retrofit, you'll need coding for the LEDs to work correctly and not have an error in the dash
