I was in Ocean City MD Last summer second week of june, and there was a car show there (Also a air show!) we lucked out! There is nothing like fighter jets zooming by really close in front of you while you are on the beach. Only bad part was the sonic boom set car alarms off, and a bunch of cars with subs. Anyways, since there was a car show there was a bunch of modified cars everywhere, I seen one of these on every other ricer car out there. Since then, I have always wondered what they were for?

Poor car
![]() What I did was bought those 270mm wide convexed mirrors and it works well. Just put it over your existing rear view mirror.

THAT is a great idea. Provided you don't have an auto dimming mirror with navigation. Blind spot mirrors are a great idea too, but they're a bit unsightly. Wonder why car manufacturers don't make them mandatory, or even the DOT. So many accidents happen because of this 'blind spot' thing. Does it really happen? Or is it a theory or an excuse?
