Rear diffuser for 320D Touring (Wagon)
Hi, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I have just taken delivery of my new BMW. A 320D Touring from BMW Klosters, my local dealer. Does anyone know if this rear carbon fibre diffuser will fit my car and is it a good fit? I have the M Sports package. The profile of the ebay item looks a little different to mine but the overall shape, position of lugs etc looks the same.

Hi Guys,
Obviously not too many of you have this diffuser. Anyway I have purchased and installed it. Was a pain to install as the fit was not brilliant but is now in. It needed quite a bit of grinding. I have had to order another grey infill piece (the bit that fits between the diffuser and the rear bar) to cover some slight gaps. I am hoping to simply stick the new grey bit on top of the existing bit with double sided tape. |

Would deffinitly like to know more about the fit and finish and what needed to be done to get it to fit. I've been thinking of getting that diffuser.

One of the problems was the angle of the lip at the top of the diffuser was not at 90 degrees. It was more like 75. This meant that it could not be pushed in properly and kept wanting to push the diffuser up. Because it wanted to be pushed up, the 3 lugs at the top which on the original, clip into place would not work. As a result there is a gap between the diffuser and the grey infill strip above it. I can push the diffuser in and hold it in place to hide the gap but am at a loss to how to actually hold it in this position. The lugs do not clip in as they are a poor imitation of the original which clips into place. It neeeded quite a bit of "modification" to get it to fit. I have had extensive communication with the seller and he has refunded me $40US for all the stuffing around and has passed on my feedback to the manufacturer. In conclusion, if you dont mind putting in the effort to fit it, it is a subtle change which makes the car a little different to standard. I have also ordered a twin dmt exhaust tip for it from the UK. Hopefully it will be a little easier to fit.
