new to the BMW world and need headlight help
i have a 2007 328xi coupe. i can't stand the yellowish look in the headlights so i recently bought mtec d1s 8000k ge bulbs. installed them but the outer ring is still that yellowish color. what can i do to get that yellowish color to disappear? is that what the LUX H8 are for? did i buy the wrong thing? or can the MTEC bulbs that i bought work with the LUX H8? like i said im new to all of this. laymans turns may help too.

Yea I feel ya, but you'll have to upgrade those LEDs separately. I need help myself. I just bought LEDs for my 335i but I just can't find ANYONE who would install them. I'm in Miami, anyone got connects??

I think what you've done is changed your driving bulb to an 8000k bulb.
This will not affect the colour of the angel eyes. To change the colour of the angel eyes you need a different 'temperature' bulb with a H8 base. To answer your question the Lux H8 will not replace the MTEC D1s bulbs you bought, they will be used in a different position giving a different lighting effect. The H8 bulb does not have to be 'LED', it can be a regular gas discharge bulb. MTEC makes some and another popular brand are the GP Thunders. |
