Alarm going off after locking car!

The alarm has been going off a few seconds after the car is locked. It's equipped with the OEM alarm. I don't know what's triggering it... there's no signs of attempted break-in or no loose wires that I can find. Happens almost occasionally.

Anyone know what could be triggering the alarm to go off?

that is really strange. i would think maybe a short or it needs to be reprogramed...
but i would take it back to the dealer and have them check it out since it was programed there. they "should" warranty it if its malfunctioning that badly.

The warranty is beyond finished on this car! However I'm afraid some other electronics might have gotten shorted when the battery died a few months ago and was replaced. The car was reprogrammed though by my mechanic after he replaced the new battery.

But I guess I have no choice but to take it to the dealer since its their alarm!

Any idea if I reset the ground wire would do anything?
