Alarm going off after locking car!
The alarm has been going off a few seconds after the car is locked. It's equipped with the OEM alarm. I don't know what's triggering it... there's no signs of attempted break-in or no loose wires that I can find. Happens almost occasionally.
Anyone know what could be triggering the alarm to go off? |

that is really strange. i would think maybe a short or it needs to be reprogramed...
but i would take it back to the dealer and have them check it out since it was programed there. they "should" warranty it if its malfunctioning that badly. |

The warranty is beyond finished on this car! However I'm afraid some other electronics might have gotten shorted when the battery died a few months ago and was replaced. The car was reprogrammed though by my mechanic after he replaced the new battery.
But I guess I have no choice but to take it to the dealer since its their alarm! ![]() Any idea if I reset the ground wire would do anything? |
