winter tire, middle of the tire worn out why?
Hi,
i have 4 winter tires. car is RWD. rear wheel tires are worn out only in the middle the treads on the sides except the center are still almost new but only the center treads are worn out. (not completely but noticeably) can I not use these tires anymore? please let me know also other two tires that were in the front are perfect. should i put them in the rear and put the other(worn tires) two in front? let me know please thank you |

i found that it could be overinflation.
i didnt understand about the box setup and all.... but what should be done now? do they need to be thrown out just becaus of the center wear out? or can i just used them?? also just a simple question is, should i take the tires to the tire company to be put on? or can i just put them on myself? cause i can put them on myself, but companies always say they balance and install tires professionally.. so maybe i should go there and tell them to do it.. |

If the tyres are the same sizes front and rear, it could be a good idea to swap the fronts with the rears. Normally the front tyres will wear more on the edges than the center so its possible to extend the life ot the tyres by rotating them.
If the tyres are too badly warn you need to consider if it is still safe to use them, as it will probably affect your braking distance in poor road conditions. |
