Black Chrom - 162's

So.. I've debated the longest time on whether I would get rims for my 330i or keep the stock wheels(162). My car is Black Sapphire Metallic. After a lot of thought on what color and one quick glance at the Black Chrome my decision has been made.

My Goal.

Edit: Meant to say Powder Coating my 162's Black Chrome?

just my opinion, keep the 162s. It's still the best looking wheel BMW has put out.

Is the required speed to travel through time still 88mph?

Maybe OP can catch a ride into the future to see if his decision was good or not.

Please don't. It will look like you are too cheap to spend money on real wheels.

On the sedan, I agree and I still can't believe that they got rid of them in 2009.

They're heavy as fk.

But at least they endure abuse. My E36 M3 went through DSII's and Contours like they were made of butter.

Much 162 love from me. I bought my set a few weeks after buying the LCI. Shame they don't make them anymore.

Black chrome is not a powder coat. It;s actually a chrome nickel plate with a black dye added. It can be done easy enough, but it's expensive. Send me pm & I can help you out

I LOVE the OEM 162's, I'd leave em as is.

Style 162 looks like plastic to me every time I see it. Anyone else agree or am I on crack?

Is there a place to check out BMW rims? I can't get through all the number codes and remember them, and I have yet to find a good site where i can see pics of them on cars.

I don't even know what my car came with...but they are 17s and doing no justice to my car. Really need to change them, but coming from Audi....I have no ideas.
For reference, i posted a pic of my e92 so hopefully someone can ID the offending rims I have now. I also posted a pic of my old TT..i love the rims on that car...wouldn't look right on my e92, but in that direction, does anyone have suggestions for OEM wheels for me?

sorry...thought it is related and on topic since both of us are looking for wheel options for the e92.

And thanks to Kevin Harney, we both now have an awesome PDF document that has pics of all the options!

Hijacking and the internet=results! Thanks all!

Basically, 162s, 230s, 296s, and whatever they put on E46 ZHPs and E60 550i's are amazing. All others are meh.
