Dinan Flash Resale (?)

Does anyone know if the Dinan flash can be resold? Maybe remove the DME and swap with another car?

My warranty is coming to an end soon and may look into going a different route with the car. I do love the tune however.

I don't think so from what I have read.

No it cannot. Dinan has desined it to be VIN locked to your ECU. Even if you were able to dump the ROM it would be incompatible to be installed on another ECU

I am running into similar issue. Dinan was actually removed by a recall by BMW which required a reprogram of the car. It's 130 to have it reflashed, but like you my warranty is coming do. What are my options? Is that money better spent on the JB4? is it true this will not void the extended warranty I'm soon going to purchase?

Thats odd, a Dinan reflash is suppose to be for free. See Dinan website, or call them about this. Dinan may refer you to another one of their dealers if your current dealer is being that obserd.

It seems the dealer your going to want to charge you a convienience fee of some sort that has nothing to do with Dinan.

I got clarification from Dinan about this free update which is related to free reflashes. I find it so wrong to charge you for something also that is not your fault.
