New Car, Need New Sound System (Technic and VP Electricity: LOOK)

Hey guys... new to the forum. I just picked up my first BMW, a 2008 335i Convertible.

In the past few days leading up to the purchase i have been reading on here and have just a few questions.

I have i-Drive with the Top HIFI sound... I need to integrate this into an MS8, and understand that Technic makes a harness? Where would i find this and how much is it?

Also, I understand that VP Electricity has manufactured some mounting plates for the door speakers. Anyone know where to find these? Also trim rings for the under seat boxes?

Thanks,
Matt

Awesome! Welcome to the board!

Also, try contacting Technic and VP directly about whatever goods they provide.

Looks like you've been on here reading up, as you already seem to know what you need. I'll throw you a bone since your post count is too low to PM other users.

You can contact MusicarNW via phone to have all of your questions answered. They carry everything you need, including the Technic harnesses.

This was an install in an E93 M3 with standard HiFi: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=405224

The SWS-8 installed (not shown in tha thread) used these spacers: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=314849

VP Electricity can set you up with a full package.

Thanks! Unless I am swimming in projects, in which case, the Contact Us form on the musicarnw.com site works best - easier to sort threads than in PMs anyway!

thanks for the assistance guys .. i know technic and vp from some other forums but saw they frequented here more, so this really was a PM, although i can't pm.

i'll be sure to post up a build log on here when i am done... 2 12's in the vert while maintaining the skipass and not raising the floor will definitely be a challange

i didn't feel like starting a new thread for just a simple question, but i have the e93 2008 with Logic 7... i haven't yet had a chance to start digging into things, but i have two questions:

what's under the tub pictured?

whats under the circled section of the tub? i have seen another car, e90 with no logic 7, and that circled section wasn't there, and there was a recess in the tub, maybe to store things? any thoughts?

The goods for the convertible to operate are located under there... Cant move it or change anything about it if you want your vert to operate....

VP, you ship the spacers to the UK? Just got my first 3 Series and looking to fix the terrible sound... Also keen to know if any of the PnP amps are any good?

Not looking for crazy bass etc but just want something reasonable without rewiring half the car . Any help appreciated, cheers! Feels like i've read so many threads on this stuff but no clear answer on that and a little confused on speaker depth for an E92 :O... Sorry
