It this a good deal?

Hey guys I've been looking to get into a 335i e92 for a little while and I found this deal at center bmw. Is this a good deal? they offered me the car at 28300+fees which turns out to be around 31500.. or should i wait for a private party to sale? the car is also cpo'd.. don't really like the color my last 3 cars had the same color but it is what it is..

i think that's too much for a 335 w/out idrive. i'd rather go with a private party sale

The car clearly has iDrive/navigation in the photos.

The Galves trade-in (wholesale) on that car is:
$20,900 Base Price for a 2007 E92 335i
- $600 without auto transmission
+ $700 Sport Package
+$1,000 for iDrive/navigation
+ $975 mileage adjustment for 33k miles (base mileage is 41k)
= $ 22,975 Trade-In / Wholesale Value
+ $ 1,400 for minor dealer reconditioning (new tires, brake pads, etc.) IF APPLICABLE.
= $24,375 "Market Ready" wholesale value.

+ $1,500 (estimate) for the remaining 22 months of CPO warranty + a fair mark-up for dealer overhead, and profit. What constitutes a "fair mark-up" is completely up to you, but I think it should be no more than 10% for a BMW dealer’s overhead & profit on a CPO car.

To answer your question, $29,995 would be a very good deal for the BMW dealership. IMO a fair deal for the car would be around $28,500, and $27,500 or less would be a very good deal for you (including any incentives).

Good luck with the negotiations!

+1 great write up. If I was you I'd still shop around a little, never rush when buying a car, it's not an investment of any kind, pure leasure so find something that really stands out to you within your budget. Keep us posted on what you decide to do would love to help you out when you get it and are ready to explore some mod options.

if it's not exactly what you want... i saw don't waste your time on it and try looking for one that is

but, for the miles, cpo, and options, price isn't bad at all

That's among the top 5 ploys I've heard from various car salesmen over the years:

"The pricing you got off the internet is all wrong..."
"The dealership won’t make any money at that price…”
"You won’t find a better deal anywhere else..."
"There’s a guy traveling all the way from (fill in the blank) to look at the car later today…”
"The car won't be here tomorrow…"

Idk if someone has mentioned it, but whatever you end up buying, make sure it has warranty!

I haven't done much research but from my understanding the motor is pretty bullet proof right? im only looking to do 350whp.. anyhow I'll let you all know how it goes im heading there right after work to check it out.. aiming for 27500 but we'll see.. if not im really in no hurry.. my money isn't going anywhere..
