I have a AT diff and MT diff question

Hi all,

I was wondering if it was possible to put the AT 335i LSD(wavetrac) with the 3.46 gear ratio in a MT 335i with 3.08 ratio.

The AT final drive does not have the LSD in it yet, I can get a deal on a used final drive and then install the LSD in it and put in the MT 335i.

Would it work or would it need to be modified more?

If this already been answered in a different thread please post the link because I can't find anything on this.

Thanks for your help!

far I'm pretty sure it's not an issue...if you went the other way it you'd probably need to update the 6AT tranny software

There are pros/cons to performance doing this...have you looked into those?

I had the same thought, just needed to confirm my suspensions, thanks Bro!

Anyone else have a opinion or thoughts on this?

Yes, you can install an AT differential onto your MT without any problems. It would probably gove you better acceleration because your ratio would be higher.
