2007 325i coil pack
My sons 325I broke down over Christmas it took the dealer a week to get round to diagnosing the fault , it being a coil pack on cylinder 3 . Cost £176 to repair and a hire car for a week at £175
The car has 20k miles and was 5 wks out of warranty ,when I tried to speed up the repair i was advised they had so many cars in to be repaired i would just have to wait as staff shortages etc any how its done now and after some BMW support they supplied the part for free and paid for half the labour ,He ended up paying £63 seams fair to me . I think from memory its the 3rd coil pack to go and this 325i has had so many software updates and injetcor issues they had to offer some goodwill . Should he join the AA or get some BMW warranty on it ? |

regarding a pup, it's an option. Millie the lab will be even more sad now Stanley has now gone also. Next month my parents are going away and Millie is coming to stay at ours. Will spoil her rotten and no doubt make my miswah want a dog even more.

If you do decide on getting a dog please think about a rescue dog ,If you look on Battersea dogs home there was 3 black labs the other day .It pisses me off all these dogs and cats just dumped there, Ok i know sometimes there isnt a option ,They only want £100 for a dog and its thoroughly examined and chipped and comes with 3 months pet insurance, I know where my next dog is coming from |

Ok ta. Shame those DI engines are causing trouble as the MPG figures sound impressive compared to older Valvetronic models like my own.
FWIW I chose to extend the 3rd party warranty on my car, 1st time I think I've ever parted with cash for a warranty on anything! |

Hi All
Sorry to hijack but its relevent!! I'm currently selling X4 brand new (boxed) genuine BMW Bosch coils for £20 (well under half price). For a full list of compatable engines & part no, have a look at the link to my advert in the classified section. If you dont need them now, at half price might be worth having a couple on the shelf!! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478987 Cheers H |
