320d tail pipe

Hi, I just got my 320d & saw that the single tail pipe is facing down. Is anyone here know whether there is a retrofit for a it to become straight & have an exhaust chrome finisher or is there an exhaust finisher specific to the facing down tail pipe. Appreciate your help

There is no fix or add on for it, you literally have to cut the tip off and weld on a new one. Look at the Powerflow website for ideas.

The downward facing tailpipe is designed to push the soot to the ground on your engine.

I put an AS Schnitzer tailpipe on my e46 320d (£190 from the $tealer) which required removal of the back box and some cutting/welding. Not straightforward...

Recently I replace the back box on my e92 with an MV Sports Tuning stainless box which has twin pipes that run straight out.

The alternative as mentioned above is to cut your tailpipe back and try to get an aftermarket one to fit what is left.

See below link for more details. Its not a hard or expensive job really, the hardest thing will be trying to find a tip that looks like the original BMW ones.

i had this done on my 320d where cut tail pipe and fitted a twin tailpipe.

it cost me £90 supplied and fitted from a specialist exhaust place. (Exhausts UK in Sheffield) and they did a top job... looks awesome and very OEM too!!
