Active Autowerke has teamed up with UUC Motorwerks to develop the Active Autowerke S1 Short Shifter Kit, improving the precision and smoothness of the overall operation.
Installation of the unit is a direct replacement of the factory unit and does not require any cutting. The upper section is alloy steel, acoustically isolated from the lower section. For custom-tailored ergonomic, the height adjustable design reaises or lowers top section. This allows changes from original height to as much as 3/4" lower. The single piece T-304 stainless steel lever is the strongest shifter available with an integral pivot ball. All shifters in the S1 Series are compatible with Original BMW shift knobs including illuminated knobs.
The result of this precise engineering is a less notchy feel during shifts when compared to the factory system.
