Program update

If I install the alarm system and then schedule the program 25.0xxxx will it also activate the alarm or is that a separate udate to the system? I have read several threads regarding the alarm activation with dealers charging over $100 dollars, I have an opportunity to upgrade to 25.0xx want the alarm and would really like to combine the 2.

ProgMan upgrade is considered warranty work. The alarm activation will likely be billed by the hour. I actually was charged $200 to install and activate my alarm the same time I had my ProgMan upgrade.

I know I am new on this broad but what kinda alarm is this a factory one? and what Progman?

A factory installed alarm systen is not standard equipment. It is a relatively easy DIY (numerous threads available) but it requires a software activation to get all of its functions operational. The Program I referred to is the overall software that operates the car's computer system.
