Phone button on steering wheel

Have you guys noticed that this button immediately dials a phone number instead of showing the phone list? Am I missing something here?

I would appreciate any comments re: this issue.

Thanks.

Select phone mode, then use up and down arrows to access phone list.

Thanks. But, as soon as I press this button, it dials someone (from the phone list).

Yes if you push the button once it will dial up the last number dialled.
However, if you press and hold the button a bit longer it will pull up the contacts. Then you can use the "up" or "down" arrows to scroll the contacts.

Alternatively, you can, of course, set one of your programmable buttons to bring up your phone list.

When I tried to do that, the nav screen said that this particular selection cannot be programmed. I had no trouble programming radio/sat stations using those 6 buttons though.

I'm new here, just picked up my AW e93 two days ago and still trying to figure things out.

When I picked up the car the stealer sync'd my phone and everything was working ok (moto rzor3). After I got home, the next time I started the car the phone button on the steering wheel would no longer work. I can dial using the phone and the car will take over the call.

Does the car download the phone list from my phone everytime the phone gets near the car, or does it store that info forever ?

Did you have the address book open at the time? To program a button you have to be actively in that section or feature. It can be quirky sometimes...

phonebook downloads to car each time; that way if you add or delete numbers, it's up to date.
