Check Software Version

I've using the search feature to find where were the instructions that will allow me to see what software version is in my car. Can someone help me find the thread?

I remember some time back some instructions that would let one drill into some information that could be shown in the middle of dash. I remember it had some things in German and some codes that could be read. I'm not sure , but I think this is where the version could be checked.

Only the dealers system can tell you

The Idrive "trick" only shows one units software, and that unit is not updated with every update
