Considering 335i

Hello,

Need some advice, If I buy a 2nd hand 335i (i.e. from Automall, or privately) and the HPFP fails, can I still bring it back to HK BMW dealer to have it replaced free like you do overseas? of do they stick by the warranty date etc. and you'll have to pay for labor and parts.

Like the car, but on the sidelines given worst case scenario is multiple fuel pump failures over the life time of the vehicle which aint cheap to fix. Thanks!

Well I think it doesn't matter if the warranty is out... because its a known problem with the 335. My HPFP failed for the first time 2mths ago... but I've had the car for 3 years... they waved the parts price but just charged me labour.

So you could ask them directly and see what they say.

I had my HPFP fixed around a year ago and so far, not a single problem (Touch Wood) till now...please bear in mind that, I've been yielding the Max. power of the car with a piggyback tuning whereby, it shouldn't be considering as mutiple failure occurence of HPFP in view of my case!! Thus, you shouldn't be worry much, Bro!!

Don't worry just get one ... the fuel pump is a worldwide problem. Touch wood mine has not failed yet however if it does it will be under warranty anyway. Just will pay for labour I think.

My car is out of warranty whereby, I can mod the car in such condition since I don't have to go back Bimmer for repaid and maintenance no more!!

Hope you've got your HFPF fixed b/4 the Lunar New Year Holiday!!

Thx bro, things are fixed, ended up being a coil-pack failure.
