Procede Boost Gauge or External Boost Gauge?

Hey:

I am going to be installing a Procede and I know Shiv and all his genius cleverly made our fuel gauge into a boost gauge. However, I was wondering if people use that or is a external boost gauge better?

Thoughts pleasee!

the boost gauge included in the procede is pre-throttle body, so it is not true boost under part throttle. If you want a true reading, I'd get a real gauge.

I agree with themyst as far as the explanation, but it depends on what you're going to use it for. If you just want to monitor boost for consistency, the built in one in the Procede is fine. And its not off by that much (like 1psi at the most). Plus its built in and more hidden, which is a plus unless you like the look of gauges in your cabin.

In the very near future, the Procede boost gauge will read manifold pressure by displaying a hybrid signal based upon the manifold pressure sensor (post TB) and the usual TMAP (pre TB). Since on-boost throttle closure is never an issue with the Procede, this will give you virtually the same display accuracy as a conventional manifold referenced boost gauge.

It's on the to do list. All depends on how long it takes to tackle the tasks above it. It should be a matter of weeks, not months.

btw, we will make this update to the n55 first. Since it already has a full range manifold (post TB) pressure sensor, we can just display this signal on the in-dash boost gauge. No additional code necessary.
