E92 Wheel Spacers
I've recently bought some 12mm H&R Spacers and was going to put them on the rears, but reading a few threads, some people recommend 15mm on the rear and 12mm on the front.
I have 19" wheels with an ET35 offset all round. Can I use the 12mm on the front and buy some 15mm for the rear? Or would something else be recommended? The car has the standard sport suspension and hasnt been lowered Also, any recommendation for extended locking wheelnuts? Cheers in advance

Jimmy you won't need spacers with the SF71's.
Both 12mm & 15mm on the rear will rub, I tried 12mm and it did, the most you'll get away with is a 5mm spacer. |

3mm is bugger all IMO!
Try the 12mm ones, as you've bought them, and see what you think. Teddy at SSDD motorsport sold me all my extended bolts and extended locking bolts, you can't get black ones though, no one does them, so you'll have to have chrome. |

I have 265 falken 452's on the rear and used to have 12mm Eibach spacers. They were fine with day to day driving and a front passanger. However with 4 passgners they rubbed over bumps.
Tried the 10mm H&R's and they also rubbed with when 4 up with 265's When I had 255 rubber on the rear I could get away with the 12mm rear spacers but with the extra 10mm tyre width it's a no no with both. Ive also tried 5mm but they don't work well as the lip on them isn't long enough for the wheel to sit on and you get terrible vibrations. I've stuck with the 10mm on the rear, they are fine with the 265's even with a front passanger and a full boot and even when cornering hard and over bumps. As I only have rear passangers once in a blue moon I'm happy to stick with 10 mm on the rear. I can also confirm that 10mm on the front will cause the wheels to stick out slightly from the arches, which for me isn't a good look. I'm now running 10mm rear and nothing on the front which is perfect for me, although I might go back to 255 rear when I next need to change tyres Hope this helps!! H |
