2nd RedNeck post, but bear with me please...

Okay, fellas/ ladies,

Just got myself a 328i 2011.

I've got Halogens, but I'm interested in Angel Eye LED replacement.
Let me be clear, the headlights have angel eyes built in, but the bulb powering them right now is rancid yellow.

So, what are my options, or, if you can point me to where to look, i'd be highly grateful.

I've heard rumors from my friends that the fitting required is an H8, but have not been able to confirm.

I'm still working up the learning ladder, so fire away.
Don't be gentle.

Thanks

RedneckRider

Arctic.

Thanks for your response.

As I found though, please correct me if I'm wrong. I have the LCI (whatever that is, I'm still looking), E90 with Angel Eyes.

So yes, I got angel eyes.

and as such, I just need to replace the LED bulbs in there. One per side, so 2 total.

I found this

http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...I_V2-2-20.html

Please tell me if this will work.

Thank you

LCI = Life Cycle Impulse (mid stream update/refresh) --- bit of a whole new language if you are going to be around here....welcome....

Just drive your car like you stole it so that your transmission will adapt to being driven like a performance car and not a granny car -- it will make a difference. Enjoy.

A few years after a body style has been out BMW decides to refresh the design without designing a whole new car. This is called LCI. All of the manufacturers do it as a way to extend the life cycle of a model.

Two ways to go on fixing the yellow angel eyes - but be aware that they are brighter when running as daytime running lights as opposed to when your headlights are actually on. The brighter super-white bulbs (4300K) (like PIAA) look good as DRLs, but will not be as bright with headlights on. The 7000K-8500K brightness bulbs will have more of the "daylight" bluish tint to them. The LED units are more expensive but produce the best result - just be sure that what you get is guaranteed to be "error-free", as some LED units will cause the computer to give you a bulb-fault warning light. The LEDs also won't be affected by the lower voltage when your headlights are on as they come with a "ballast" that should prevent it. That said, maybe the 2011s don't have the voltage shift, but either way, LEDs are the preferred choice.

What models have this?

My pre-LCI E90 does not....I've never heard of it on LCIs either.

Mine is an E92 and that's how they work, apparently. I did some research and it is working as designed.

Can somebody let me know if this is something that will work for a 2011 328i?

Most of the E90 compatible parts i've seen broken down by

E90 2006-2008
E90 2009-2010
E90 2011- and on.

I don't know if this distinction is material. Or that an E90 is an E90 and parts will be compatible, so long as the car is an E90?

Need some help.

Thanks

Most mechanical parts can be used between any e9x as long as the motors are the same. as for electrical, they change things sometimes.

Bulbs in your car are not the same as a preLCI (original style of e90, before the style update)

This is the best solution for your angel eyes:

Thanks for all the info everyone. Like I said, still a learning process for me.
seems to me though, everyone keeps directing me to products that replace the factory Angel Eye, Halo Rings.

Is there any particular reason for this?
Is it because the bulb that illuminates the factory Rings cannot be changed?
Or perhaps the rings themselves have some sort of defect?

Thanks
