CD Changer

Alright, i have a 6 disk cd changer from bmw but when i plug it into the back of the car, it does not show up on my screen. Do i need to update my idrive or what? The cd changer works (it opens up, etc when i plug it in) but i dont have an option for it on the screen.

It probably needs a reprogram to let the system know that its there. My alarm needed that before it would be fully recognized.

dealer has to update software, there going to charge you a lot
