JB3 help

I bought a jb3 pnp from a member on these board. He said that it has the 2.0 software loaded to it. So I open the black box and the chip said 1.4 in black. The board is gen 2 with the extra capacitor. The board those not have the data lodging port. So the question, Is it possible to load the 2.0 software to a 1.4?Thank You in advance.

I think you have to get the G3 upgrade. Email Terry, you can probably just go straight to JB4.

It can very well have 2.0 on it as he could have flashed the unit with a chip burner. You should ask him if he has a chip burner. If not then its probably 1.4 as the only way to upgrade the old Gen-2 board was with a chip burner or chip swap.

I can always send you a 2.0 chip you can swap ($20.00) but you are better off just upgrading to the JB4 I think.

No you can run it like is for sure

Just because newer stuff is out doesn't mean the old stuff stops working great.

If you are fine without the new features, etc. then just run what you have and be happy with it!

I did ask him and he has the chip burner.I will stick with this for a few wekks and see if I like it. I have been running the SSTT for a few months and I just want a little bit more power. Thanks Mike for the fast respond. anything that I need to kow about the JB3 2.0. againg thanks for the reply.
